Keyboard shortcuts let you carry out various actions by pressing a key on the keyboard; this is often faster then using the mouse and menus.  This page is a list of the shortcut keys currently implemented in MapGazer.

Special keys

F1 Open MapGazer Help
Esc Toggle between window and fullscreen
Space bar Toggle between showing selected status information and hiding all
Arrow keys Move the centre of view
+ Increase overlay map transparency
Decrease overlay map transparency
Ctrl-O Change (open new) base map
Ctrl-Q Exit (quit) MapGazer
Ctrl-S Save all marks to GPX file

Alphabetic keys

A Add a new area within view
C Go to map centre
G Open the ‘Go to location’ dialog
I Zoom in at view centre
L Load marks from GPX file
M Change base map
O Zoom out at view centre
Q Exit (quit) MapGazer
R Add a new route within view
S Save current view
T Open the ‘Adjust transparencies’ dialog
V Open a new view window
W Add a new waypoint at view centre
