Margaret R. Paton
Margaret Paton and her husband home educated their two grown-up sons for significant periods of time.
Both boys had special educational needs: David because of severe brain damage, and Jeremy because he was academically and musically gifted.
Margaret says:
“I believe that academic qualifications will never provide
the principal factor in an ability to bring children to their full potential,
but that love and common sense, given adequate support, can enable any parent
to achieve the apparently impossible.”
David says:
“Without the support I received from home education
I could never have achieved the happiness and fulfilment
which I now enjoy.”
