Many adverbs are formed with the suffix -mente (... mind, way of action?)

e.g., naturalmente; evidentemente; frecuentemente – frequently, often

Confusing adverbs/adjectives

bastante – enough, sufficient, quite a lot of, fairly

demasiado – too much

tanto – so often, as much (also noun)

mucho – a lot of, much

poco – a little, not many (also noun)

alto – high, loud(ly), tall

Other useful adverbs:

yo también, a mí también – me too (me also)  (from tan+bien, as well)

yo tampoco, a mí tampoco – me neither  (from tan+poco, as little)

piensa lo mismo que tu – he thinks the same as you

aun – even; aun más – even more

aún – still, yet; aún no – not yet

todavía – still, even; todavía no – not yet  (from toda + vía – all way(s))

todavía están aquí – they’re still here

esto todavía está mejor – this is even better

ya – already

siquiera – at least; ni siquiera – not even

aquí – here, now

... estoy aquí – I’m here

... por aquí por favor – this way please

... de aquí tres meses – in three months’ (time)

vaya todo recto – go straight on

vaya is imperative formal of ir – to go (come, work, etc.)

todo – all (adv or adj)

recto – straight (on), (adv or adv); also rectum (nm)
