This page lets you change various settings for a user. These are:
- Show user toolbar: shows the current logged-in user name
and selected actions below the buttons (if there are buttons) at
the top-right of each page view. If there is a Users topic, the
user name can be clicked on to view the user’s page.
- Hide action buttons when viewing pages: this makes the ‘default
view’ of pages uncluttered, like the ‘printable’ view for a single
page. The button panel at the top right is replaced by a small link
‘more...’, which
allows access to the normal range of actions.
- Use compact (narrower) action buttons: this makes the action
buttons narrower, for a less-cluttered appearance. On some browsers
this may cause truncation of some button labels.
- Show last-edit date or time: shows the date (or time if the
same day) of the last edit to a page or reference. If the server
is remote, the date or time will be that at the server, which can
be confusing – this setting removes the date or time from the footer
when editing or viewing.
- Rows in text area when editing a page: sets the number of
rows (depth) of the editing area during an edit (the width is set
to fit the width of the browser window automatically).
